Something is Brewing

Well, just because I was on vacation for a week doesn't mean the wheels stopped turning in the politics of our country. Some crazy, insane stuff happened while I was gone. Including the murder of a high school football coach in Parkersburg, IA - just 30 minutes from where my in-laws live and work. Michael Jackson finally went over the edge. Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer. And, just a few days after we arrived home, Quarterback Steve McNair was murdered and it was revealed that he was in the midst of an adulterous affair.

Paul definitely had a grip on what was to come when he wrote by the unction of the Holy Spirit 2 Timothy 3:1-5, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

My sister-in-law sent me a link to this blog with a series of YouTube videos posted on it. People say that we're not a war with Islam, only the extreme terrorist groups that don't practice true Islam. I say those people have their heads in the sand. Truth is truth and it cannot be denied. Check out this blog and watch all the videos. We are on a precipice and it's time to make a stand for THE way, THE truth and THE life.

  1. Tonight at church, a friend was telling us that his brother has declared himself an atheist. Jonathan replied, "It's crazy just how bold atheists are. I wish Christians were that bold. With all the hope we have, you'd think we would be." It really got me to think. If someone can proudly denounce God, why can't I be so bold as to proclaim Him?
